Eating Disorder Support Groups
Support groups are a safe place to get empowered through education, coping strategies and a sense of of community. No is alone and together we are stronger!
Enlighten Groups: First Tuesday
(includes educational component for first 30 minutes followed by small group support)
August 1: Testimonials
September 5: Meet the Expert Q&A
October 3: Navigating the Stages of Treatment
November 7: Testimonials
December 5: Meet the Expert Q&A
January 2: Navigating the Stages of Treatment
Strengthen Groups Third Tuesday
(peers sharing support, encouragement and coping strategies; groups for individuals with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder and a separate group just for family & friends)
The group setting can be a powerful medium for discussion, but is not therapy and should not be used as a replacement for therapy. Groups are supervised by a licensed eating disorder therapist from The Center and facilitated by trained volunteers.
Support Groups open to individuals with eating disorders and family and friends of individuals with an eating disorder. Due to the sensitive nature of topics discussed in groups, our support groups are respectfully closed to those seeking sites for observation assignments. More information about eating disorders may be found on our Resources page or attend one of our educational events.
