The Center for Balanced Living has an opening for a full time outpatient psychotherapist to provide psychotherapy for older adolescents (ages 16+) and adults (ages 18+) with both eating disorders and other mental health disorders through individual, couples, group, and family therapy. Fulltime outpatient therapists provide approximately 28 hours of direct hours of therapy per week. Preferred candidates will be independently licensed as an LPCC, LISW or psychologist in the state of Ohio, be credentialed on multiple insurance panels, utilize evidence-based treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT), demonstrate the ability to manage a full caseload of clients, and have training/expertise in a specialized area (e.g., trauma, older adults, substance-related and addictive disorders, etc.).
Experience with this specialized population is preferred; however, we are willing to train a well-qualified applicant. Expert supervision is provided for the first year of employment with ongoing support as the specialization is refined over time.
Since 2001, The Center for Balanced Living has served as the only freestanding, non-profit specialized eating disorder organization providing comprehensive treatment, research and educational services for older adolescents and adults in Central Ohio. Our vision is to create strength through balanced living through a variety of services including psychotherapy, nutrition counseling, medication management, and more.
