Full-time Outpatient Eating Disorder Therapist

The workplace

The Center for Balanced Living is seeking qualified candidates that value a challenging, positive, and highly motivated work environment. This position as a fulltime outpatient psychotherapist will provide psychotherapy for older adolescents (ages 16+) and adults (ages 18+) with both eating disorders and other mental health disorders through individual, couples, group, and family therapy.


Job details

The successful candidate must possess:

Education:  Master’s degree in counseling or social work or PhD/PsyD from an APA accredited program with a completed internship.

Experience:  Independently licensed as an LPCC, LISW, or PhD in the State of Ohio.

 Preferred candidates will have experience in evidence-based treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT), demonstrate the ability to manage a full caseload of clients, and have training/expertise in a specialized area (e.g., trauma, older adults, substance-related and addictive disorders, etc.). The successful candidate will have experience and success working collaboratively in multidisciplinary team environment.

Competitive Wage: Negotiable              

Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday, flexible hours. 2 evenings a week until 7 pm expected.

The Center for Balanced Living is a free standing, non-profit organization that provides multi-disciplinary eating disorder treatment to individuals ages 16 and older. We are proud of our compassionate environment. The Center is internationally recognized for its high quality, evidence-based, best practices in the treatment of eating disorders. In fact, we are one of only two sites in the country providing a neurobiologically-based family inclusive 5-Day Treatment for Eating Disorders. We are located just north of Columbus Ohio off Route 23, north of Interstate 270.
