FT outpatient psychotherapist

The Center for Balanced Living has an opening for a LISW or PhD to provide individuals, couples, group and family psychotherapy for older adolescents (ages 16+) and adults (ages 18+) with eating disorders and other mental health disorders. Fulltime outpatient therapists provide approximately 28 hours of direct hours of therapy per week. Preferred candidates will be independently licensed as either an LISW or psychologist in the state of Ohio, be credentialed on multiple insurance panels,  utilize evidence-based treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT), demonstrate the ability to manage a full caseload of clients, and have training/expertise in a specialized area (e.g., trauma, older adults, substance-related and addictive disorders, etc.).

Experience with this specialized population is preferred; however, we are willing to train a well-qualified applicant.  Expert supervision is provided for the first year of employment with ongoing support as the specialization is refined over time.  This position includes paid time off, educational/professional organization allowances and optional health benefits after a 90 day probationary period.

Since 2001, The Center for Balanced Living has served as the only freestanding, non-profit specialized eating disorder organization providing comprehensive treatment, research and educational services for older adolescents and adults in Central Ohio.  Our vision is to create strength through balanced living through a variety of services including psychotherapy, nutrition counseling, medication management, and more.

If you are interested in joining our expert team of compassionate professionals, please send a cover letter and vita/resume to: Nichole Wood-Barcalow, PhD., Director of Outpatient Services @ NicholeWB@thecenterforbalancedliving.org  or fax: 614-896-8223.  Please note in the cover letter any specific training/expertise in a specialized area if applicable (e.g., trauma, older adults, substance-related and addictive disorders, etc.).  Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.  Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the ideal candidate is selected to join our collaborative, multi-disciplinary treatment team.
