DBT-IOP

Dialectical Behavior Therapy - Intensive Outpatient Program

Focus of treatment

Our DBT Intensive Outpatient group therapy program is designed for individuals seeking tools and principles of recovery whether as step down from inpatient or partial hospital settings, or someone needing structure, support, and DBT skills training to better manage mental health and eating disorder symptoms. Methodologies used are evidence-based and have shown high success rates in decreasing symptoms and increasing functioning of participants.

Each client is assigned a Team consisting of a case manager, registered nurse, counselor, dietitian, and psychologist. This Team is responsible for working with clients to establish an individualized plan of care and recommendations for discharge.

DBT-IOP group meets 9 hours per week:

Tuesdays and Thursdays|  1:00-4:00pm

Friday|  12:00-3:00pm

Additionally, clients have a weekly individual appointment with their case manager.

Group meetings incorporate a variety of activities, including daily DBT skills training and practice, group therapy focused on values clarification and establishing a life worth living, supervised snacks and a Friday evening meal, family education and support, relapse prevention, and planning and goal setting.
